About Horizon Worldwide

As a high school student, I've noticed that many young people have a lack of motivation to get involved in extracurriculars and in their community. During my first two years of high school, I personally experienced a lack of motivation to get involved also, and my gut told me that something that factored into it was that I did not have many mentors in my life. I did not know any other way, and I saw one of my friends be unmotivated because of this same situation. To me, one's environment can affect how people act, especially young people, and I believe youth development is key to bettering our future. Studies show that when people are young they are easier to change. Therefore, the website Horizon Worldwide provides and encourages high school internships because I want to make young people hardworking, I want to make them want to impact their communities, and I want to help them grow as people.
